Rowan Dartington hires new business development director

The Bristol-based wealth manager and stockbroker has appointed Trevor Cheal as business development director, looking after sales and marketing activity across the group.

Cheal will remain a director at Spire financial, which provides financial services to retired clients. Previous roles include stints at Prudential Assurance as a development director and at Legal & General, where he was responsible for platform strategy.

A spokesperson for the group, headed by Graham Coxell (pictured), said Cheal: ‘ [would] help shape the business’ and have major role supporting Signature, a subsidiary of Rowan Dartington that deals with investment professionals and their clients.

The appointment of Cheal comes after five men were arrested last month on suspicion of fraudulent transactions from accounts held at the firm.
