Quilter managed portfolio service head Hepworth to leave
Markets
by Jun Merrett, Danielle Levy on Feb 09, 2012 at 07:00
Quilter's head of managed portfolio services Charles Hepworth is to leave the firm.
In the interim Hepworth's responsibilities will be taken on by Julian Menges, deputy manager of the managed portfolio services, and Ben Mountain (pictured, left), head of collectives research in a move which will see Mountain's responsibilities broadened.
'At the same time, we are also focusing on strengthening our team over the next few months,' Vakil added.
Hepworth (pictured right), a former Wealth Manager cover star, will leave Quilter after some 17 years at the firm. He took over the managed portfolio service in 2001 when it had around £15 million under management and has built assets, mainly through adviser relationships, up to an estimated £700 million today. It is not yet known which firm he is joining.
