As well as hearing from some of Europe’s top fund managers at Citywire’s Fund Selector Forum at the Four Seasons Hotel Des Bergues in Geneva, selectors cast their votes on a number of issues including the prospects for value investing and infrastructure. Responding to presentations from New Star’s Nicholas Sheridan and Thomas Bastrup from Danish value specialist Sparinvest, 77% of the selectors agreed that value fund managers are poised to outperform their growth counterparts in 2008.
