Scotsman Peter Cockburn was born in Edinburgh in 1971, spending the entirety of his schooldays at the city’s renowned George Watson’s College before studying at both Napier and Stirling Universities. Peter holds a BA in Accountancy and MSc in Investment Analysis. A member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and Institute of Investment Managers and Research, Peter started his working career in 1993 as an audit trainee with KPMG before joining Edinburgh Fund Managers in 1998 where he first took on responsibility for fund management. Having joined Scottish Widows in 2003 Peter is now responsible for several retail funds. Away from work Peter’s interests include music as well as the outdoor sporting life in the form of rugby and golf.
