Trojan Income
Markets
Citywire Verdict: Our most defensive income pick, Francis Brooke has a high consumer goods weighting, mainly through high yielding tobacco firms and domestic utilities. He tends to avoid cyclical sectors and has an overall bearish view on the market and his investments and is reluctant to participate in market rallies that can lead to bouts of short term underperformance. Nevertheless, the fund is one of the most consistent performers in the sector and one to pick for a long term investment. The fund will be soft closing in May and it may be difficult to access this fund after this date.
