Neptune has added to its income profile with the launch of two funds investing in the UK and US.
The company has promoted Neptune UK co-manager Emma Stanford to manage Neptune UK Higher Income Fund, which will invest a minimum of 20% in UK Equity and 20% in UK bonds.
Neptune US Opportunities co-manager Rebecca Young has been promoted to run the Neptune US Income fund, with a mandate to invest ‘predominantly’ in US securities.
Deputy managing director at Neptune Richard Green said: ‘With UK interest rates remaining at historic lows, investors are increasingly looking for high yielding investment opportunities.
‘In this low growth environment, we believe that the Neptune UK Higher Income Fund will prove an attractive proposition.
He added: ‘Given both the challenging macroeconomic conditions and volatile equity markets, the current outlook for income investing in the US is very strong.
‘We think it will prove attractive to those looking to diversify their income portfolio overseas and invest in the world’s largest and most diverse stock market.’
