* BP says oil spill bill hits $1.6 billion
* Weir Group trading for the nine-week period to 4 June has been stronger than expected; aftermarket orders have continued to exceed expectations; company is starting to see a positive emerging trend in orignal equipment orders; order input for the 22 weeks up 25% with aftermarket orders up 24%; expect profit before intangibles and tax for 26 weeks to 2 July to be around £140 million
* Majestic Wine profit-before tax increased by 117% to £16 million; total sales up 15.6% to £232.2 million; total sales up 15.6% to £233.2 million; final dividend 7.5p, bringing total dividend for year to 10.3p, an increase of 5.1%; ten weeks from March 30 to June 7 like-for-like sales up 7.3%
