Cameron to hand more regulatory powers to Europe
David Cameron is planning to hand regulatory supervision to the European Union, despite previously opposing plans to give Europe greater powers, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Prime minister David Cameron is planning to hand regulatory power to Brussels despite previously opposing greater European Commission intervention.
Both France and Germany have called for the European Commission to have power to scrutinise national budgets and the creation of a team of Europe-wide supervisors that could overrule the UK regulator.
Cameron has always opposed the plan and ruled it out in the coalition agreement but one source told The Daily Telegraph that he may now back down ‘in the interests of pragmatism’.
An official in Belgium, which takes over the EU’s six month presidency on 1 July, told the paper that Cameron would back down now the election was out of the way.
‘We will wait until some weeks after the elections. It is sometimes easier to discuss after elections,’ they said.
The Conservatives told the paper that the Belgian claim was an exercise of ‘viewing the world through their own eyes’.

Scutinising and regulatory are not the same thing. Following the Greek lies, on which grants and action were based, some kind of scrutiny is probably OK. But it is what happens after the scrutiny that is important. Probably the EU will agree with the budget (as they did after the event this time) and that will be the end of it. I am not pro-EU but we should not exaggerate the importance of this.

Bit of a non story this, some Belgian nonentity has predicted Cameron will roll over and give the EU scrutiny of our budget prior to being shown to our elected Parliament. Government sources have said 'dream on'. It won't happen!!

Disagree with handing more power to that bunch of unelected crooks.
You do not hand burglars and rapists the keys to your house, with the alarm security codes.
They keep asking for more money and jobs to do, but refuse to prosecute fraudsters, or even find them (thanks to (Pillock) and have not had their budget approved in 14 years and how much fraud and cheating on expenses does that hide, top to bottom?
Question, can they even organise a p**s up in a brewery and then police and prosecute to a conviction the drunken drivers after it?

Seems to me that Cameron is ''on a roll''.
This guy (Cameron) is giving it all, so it seems to me that any back-tracking by Cameron means it is beneficial to the UK. Keep rolling Mr Cameron.
