Global Cool has announced a new offer for investors that harnesses the financial expertise of the investment management sector to the task of fighting climate change.
We are inviting UK and international investors to subscribe to a $100 million offering. The minimum investment is $50,000 and the investment is being aimed at high-net-worth individuals, family offices and professional investors, including institutions. The offer period is expected to close in July.
Funds raised will go to support new international Global Cool events in the entertainment space. The July Concert for Diana in London, the International Indian Film Academy Awards and Maroon Five’s World Tour are examples of events we are already involved in.
These events serve two purposes. Primarily they promote, to audiences of millions, the campaign to fight climate change. Additionally they make profits.
Most of these profits will be retained by Global Cool for their awareness and reduction campaign while the smaller part will comprise the return to investors.
The turnover and size of the concert market is such that Global Cool expects to generate hundreds of millions of pounds for its cause in the next five years in addition to generating double digit returns to investors.
This initiative is bringing high level City-based investment expertise and product structuring to the global task of fighting climate change. This way we can raise considerable amounts of capital to support the personal donations mechanism that we already has in place.
A successful hedge fund type operation will raise hundreds of millions of pounds very quickly which will go directly into carbon reduction and new technology programmes.
